NHS staff suicide fears after Christmas and New Year shifts take 'serious toll' Counsellors for NHS workers going through crisis warned about "long, emotionally and physically demanding shifts" after one in three reported having poor mental health

Doctors’ union warns NHS will struggle to last another year without reform 99% of doctors surveyed by the British Medical Association (BMA) Scotland said they are concerned about increased pressure on the NHS over winter.

Dr Kennedy, one of those surveyed by the BMA in Scotland, said:

"Drs are struggling to cope in an NHS that is in constant crisis, which is both mentally and physically exhausting.”
