Hold on tight, reaching warp 7! Over an extended weekend, we embarked on a 2000-mile road trip from California, to Nevada, to Utah, and back; our destination: the badlands near Hanksville. Along the way, we visited Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada, near the Utah border. This stunning landscape was shaped by volcanic activity, which left behind thick layers of ash. I always think of the quote, "land of rock and sky" when I'm in the desert. It is an open, barren landscape that is refreshing when my mind feels too crowded to know what I'm feeling. #CathedralGorge
