Figured out my problemo with the upper beads, so now the 3d modeling for #ChangPu is done actually?

#ChangPu 3d modelling progress... idk if it's just because I'm running the free/personal use version of Fusion or if I just am Not Allowed To Model That Way, but this was entirely more frustrating than it needed to be.

Tops for the garlands (front on the left/back on the right)

Corner of a piece of continuous trim. Line up the fold at the corner of the piece, like you would normally to bias bind. Fold trim 180° in line with the perpendicular edge, mark 1 seam allowance in from fold. Mark distance to edge (1 seam allowance for this) and place a 3rd mark the same distance. Final mark goes to the seam allowance. Draw a zigzag between the 4 points. 2" trim, 1/2" binding width.

Cut edge joint on left, folded edge on right. Trim bulk.

Defined corners/seam allowance allows the trim to fold up like regular bias tape. Still have to hand-sew the internal edges.

Corners are truly hateful and every time I have to relearn how to miter trim I lose a year off my life.

Wanted the vinyl to sit snugly on the corners and also had to do a join at one of them, so I elected to forcibly figure out the zigzag shape situation. See alt txt.
