For my #SewAndTell, I’m showing my first #CharmPattern! This is the Artist Apron Dress, which I embroidered to make it a TARDIS dress. I did both the carpenter and side pockets, so it has 7 pockets total!

A piece of black cotton fabric is sewn to a set of stretcher bars. An iron-on interfacing strip has “Police Public Call Box” drawn on it as a template, and white thread has been embroidered over the first 3.5 letters. The needle is being held by a magnetic needle minder with a hedgehog looking lovingly at a pincushion.

Finally got the fabric stretched for the accent for the bib pocket on my #CharmPattern #ArtistApronDress, and have started the embroidery.

We have only to attach the bodice’s final piece, sleeves, and hem the skirt- and my dress for my bestie’s high fantasy wedding is done. I have been dreaming of this dress for a year now. Thanks to time off for surgery, my mom’s assistance, and local fabric stores, it’s is nearly done.
