It’s not a remake or even an adaptation, but #ChiefDetective1958 is a prequel to a popular Korean detective show of the same name. This drama had fantastic period details (even slang!) and great storytelling built around solid acting.

I hope whoever conceptualized #ChiefDetective1958 gets a bonus. To recreate a beloved show from the Nielson ratings main audience's childhood with such a neat comic and emotional touch was really smart.

I’m all caught up , I love the police squad, LeeJeHoon never disappoints with his script choices , LeeDongHwi I absolutely adore and the old school investigations and cases are really well done!
