However, if you notice your child displaying these behaviors for over a month, you may want to consider reaching out to a trauma or grief-informed therapist for support. Younger children (6-11): excessive clinginess and separation anxiety. behavioral regression like sleep issues, eating, toileting. Behavioral outbursts and tantrums. Excessive fearfulness and crying. Older youth (12-18): social withdrawal. Aggression. Risk-taking behaviors. Expression of suicidal ideation.
