Life & the holidays got in the way of my crochet time but before that I did finish a couple more in the #AmigurumiAdvent2025 mcal. Here are days 11 & 12 - a crab & a mince pie. I hope to keep working through them all in the coming weeks!

Two crochet "snow person balloons" side by side on my couch. On the left is the big friend, made of plush yarn and wearing a green hat. On the right is the small friend made with sparkly acrylic yarn and wearing a blue hat. Both have brown arms and one of them is posed up like it is waving!

I did actually make the snow person balloon in plush & it's super cute! These are the same pattern just with different sized yarn. They are from the Amigurumi Advent MCAL that is going on all month.

A crochet lion with yellow skin and dark brown mane. The tip of the tail is also dark brown. It's proportions are a bit wonky because the body is very small and the legs don't lay in the place I would expect them.

I think #AmigurumiAdvent2025 took a turn from the cuteness with this lion but I guess they can't all be winners. Here are days 9 & 10! I'm really proud that I've been able to sort of keep up - I hope that continues.

A small sheep made of crochet. It is staring at a (relatively) large ball of yarn and considering it's life choices. ;) The sheep is white with bumpy fleece and a light tan face with little ears. The yarn ball is actually small, to a human, and is a medium green color. It has a crocheted ball inside and yarn wrapped in different directions along the outside to make it look real.

For Days 7 & 8 we made an adorable sheep with some high maintenance fleece (it took as long as the whole rest of the piece I think - but worth it!) and a yarn ball. Yes, seriously that is crochet underneath. lol

The Edie twins were made with the same brand/type yarn, same crochet hook and same pattern but they are very different size because I used the Yarn UNDER technique for the dark blue one on the right and Yarn OVER (how I learned crochet) on the light blue one on the left. Both have green bases where the cable would connect the lights to each other, big eyes with eyelashes and a smile.

What a difference how you catch the yarn can make! Pictured are 2 christmas light bulbs made of crochet with a crochet hook above them on the table. Same pattern, same yarn brand/type, same crochet hook... The dark blue one on the left was created using yarn under stitches which give the little X look where the one on the right, which is bigger, was made with yarn over stitches which give a v look to the stitches. Both have a green base, and a face with a smile.

Here's another great pattern by Knot Trying! I decided to use this pattern to learn Yarn Under, which is new to me. It really makes a difference in project size. Info about the differences is in the ALT text!

A small crochet poinsettia! It has a sparkly purple pot, 2 green leaves under 4 big red ones. There are also 2 smaller dark red leaves on top of the 2 big ones sitting on the leaves. The center is a little bright spot of white.

A favorite pattern maker of mine lately is Knot Trying. They write patterns that aren't super time consuming. Many of the patterns are free but there is a tip option to support the artist. Love this little poinsettia! #crochet #amigurumi #christmascrochet #christmascal2025 #KnotTryingAdvent

A crochet christmas tree. The top 1/3 is light green, the middle 1/3 is medium green and the bottom 1/3 is dark green. It's so full you can't see the brown trunk underneath. The branches are plain but very full. I didn't add any decorations besides a crochet star on top.

This pattern was part of a crochet along on IG. I love how full the tree is! The pattern also calls for decorations but I think I like the simplicity of it right now.
