The Nazi #WorkOrderAct (#Arbeitsordnungsgesetz) was promulgated #ThisDayInHistory in 1934. Its #corporatist model abolished trade #unions, made bosses absolute rulers, & cut worker wages. This supposedly eliminated #ClassConflict (the movement was fundamentally anti-#socialist).

Written by #TheaVonHarbou, and with #dystopian themes of #technocracy and #ClassConflict, #FritzLang's landmark film #Metropolis, released #ThisDayInHistory in 1927, is one of the most influential ever. Most of its original run-time has been reconstructed.

An #insurrection broke out #ThisDayInHistory in 1933 in #Barcelona, #Spain. The Second Republic exacerbated #ClassConflict and suppression of 1932's #AltLlobregat insurrection radicalized #CNT. In putting down the revolt, dozens of #anarchists were killed & thousands imprisoned.
