Picture one of two.
In the centre of the picture is a stitching pony. A stitching pony is a wooden tool that holds leather pieces in place for hand stitching - especially useful when you’re doing baseball-style stitching (two needles at once, pulling evenly).
The pony is holding a black piece of shaped leather that has alternating red gray stitches stitches.
The background is blurred and not relevant.
Picture two out of two. In this picture, there is a tan sandal with black leather on the inside sitting on a black and decker workmate workbench. The sandal is being held in place by orange clamps as well as a blue elastic band.
The vertical stitches for the sandal are red and gray and the cross stitches are gold and brown.
The outside piece of leather is now attached to the sole of the sandal.
I let it sit outside overnight, like this, to ensure that the glue was fully dried.
Taking a break from world stress, here’s my latest project (2 pics). Leather sandals. It’s my first time and I’ve learned quite a bit so far. Perhaps this time I will just leave it with complicated stitches and not add a design? #Stitching #LeatherWork #Leather #Cobbling #ShoeMaking #AltText #Sewing
