#ColemakDH still king in 2026? Especially for a hybrid users. My use case is 90% English and 10% German. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Have been learning and practicing #ColemakDH #keyboard layout for the past few weeks, have learned all the letters, still making lots of mistakes. Seems more than half of mistakes were made because my fingers were having Stockholm syndrome and didn’t believe the letters could be so much within […]

Learning a new keyboard is struggle: slow hands, stubborn memory. With practice, flow returns. I’m learning Colemak DH. #Keyboard #ColemakDH #Typing #Ergonomics

Haven't practiced typing in weeks, #ColemakDH is muscle memory at this point. I know you should aim for 98% accuracy, but I'll take it. #typing

Tried swapping d and v on #ColemakDH for one handed copy pasta without a finger stretch. Shouldn't be a big deal right? Well, its absolutely cursed. Completely ruins the typing flow, d is just too common. Guess I'll l dabble with the stuff next, that I am too lazy to give a chance.

I would love if #FrameworkLaptop allowed us to customize the keyboard layout (and super key) before buying the keybord. It would be so awesome to have a #ColemakDH Framework laptop keyboard with a #linux super key!

#ColemakDH is such a fun typing experiences, no more awkward stretches, every common letter is right there below your fingertips. Learning an alt layout with an ergonomic focus, tought me how to touch type on QWERTY without putting in extra hours. Now I am able to touch type at decent speeds on both

Early morning also means warming up on #ColemakDH. I main this layout for typing, but i game on #QWERTY.

In theory #ColemakDH should be way better for highspeed typing than #QWERTY. The userbase is just too small to compete with the huge QWERTY userbase. Elite typists break the 200 WPM barrier comfortably on a 60 second test. Meanwhile the average typing speed is 40 WPM.

Breaking the 100 WPM barrier shouldn't take too long. The hardest part was increasing my accuracy. Once I tapped the wrong key I also missed all the following letters. #ColemakDH feels really strange at first, you are just not used to not having to move your fingers much while typing. It's so nice.

Finally able to type a stable 70+ words per minute on #ColemakDH. Took me a year of short, but almost daily practice to get here. Keep in mind: I wasn't a good typist on #QWERTY. I didn't couldn't touch type. I tried multiple times, but couldn't get comfortable.

#ColemakDH journey update. When just doing bigrams and trigrams, I am consistently writing at about 45-50 wpm. It is starting to get comfy, but there are certain letters that I consistently miss. I think I need to concentrate on doing more focused practice runs, every day.

#Monkeytype 450k words hits different lol. Great practice to really test a layout. #ColemakDH is so good. I wish I would have switched earlier.

#Overwatch2 doesn't seem to like #ColemakDH, so I toggle my QWERTY layer. Glad about that chat timeout, it's ruining my #colemak speeds. QWERTY speeds have increased tho.

keybr.com really is a great website. It isn't overly gamified, just a sleek functional UI. The practice algorithm is also really good. It is the only website I used to practice #ColemakDH and I am seeing consistent improvement.

Just crossed 70 WPM on #ColemakDH. The secret to this layout lays in getting good on the home row. The other rows are only used for around 30 percent of the key presses.

I am not moving my key caps around for #ColemakDH. This way there isn't even the option to look at the keyboard. Well I mean I could, it is just pointless.

New #ColemakDH home row PR. I know the rest of the layout at this point, I am not using #QWERTY for anything at this point. Since over 70 percent of key presses are on the home row on colemak I focus on getting it up to at least 80 WPM before moving to more keys in my practice.

Getting more comfortable on #ColemakDH every day.

#ColemakDH is the way to go for touch typing. However Vanilla #colemak is already a huge leap in comfort and possibly speed, so I recommend both. You'll feel right at home within 30 hours on colemak, add a few hours for DH. Transitioning was easier than expected. Making the switch on my phone 1/2

Leaving #QWERTY for #Colemak and #ColemakDH was a fantastic decision. Highly recommend. Colemak is really easy to learn. DH moves around a few more keys and the struggle was real for a while. Now both feel natural to use. DH is better for typing, but Vanilla retains the position of control V.

Once I memorized the layout, speed gains come over night. Just from daily usage and 30 minutes of keybr practice. #colemakDH
