Fall has begun to tinge the air with hints of cold to come and whilst the tree outside my window still bears leaves of green, others have begun to turn. I return from my early walks well ahead of sunrise, the moon peeking out from behind the clouds to light my way, its soft light welcome in the shadows between streetlamps. Once again, it’s that strange in-between time, when dusk still longs for summer, but dawn presses on with autumn. And though my feet have yet to brush the crush of fallen leaves, I can still hear it in a song.
