Played a simple little roll and write game called "Welcome to..." Where you assign house numbers to houses, build fences, etc. I did badly in both games (I did score better in game 2) which we played in an hour including rules explaining. Good game.

The players landed on Venus, saved some folks n cleared out the mercs of Tomb Fit. Saving a floating city from being targeted by surface to air batteries.
Running the game in person and seeing everyone’s decks laid out was incredibly cool.

Was up at #ConoftheNorth this past weekend and played the early playtest of Mechanized Body with some newbies! Highlights were the uniqueness the perk system brings to each character, and the neat moments where the card based gameplay clicked in the player's heads. #ttrpg #mechs #roleplaying #tcg
Day 3 of #ConoftheNorth is in the books. Got up, got the hotel room cleaned out and stuff loaded into the van. Then time for games.
Game 1 - Sorcerer City. A fun real time version of Carcassonne. So fun and it and the person running it told us it was currently on sale so I snapped it up.
Day Two of #ConoftheNorth was good. Got up early, helped with registration, then played.
Game 1 - Noble Treachery. You know a game is going to go badly when the person teaching it says, "I don't like this game, the designer doesn't like it, but I changed the rules in a way that makes it better.
Day One of #ConoftheNorth seemed to go well, but I'm just a volunteer, not privy to the dark knowledge.
Started getting set up at 7, went to play 2 games at 2
1st game Starfarers of Catan, original flavor. Didn't win, but didn't come in last
Graham torturing other players at Ecos. All he needs to win is draw a wild tile. He's drawn 28 tiles so far. No wilds. 40 tiles in the bag, 2 wild tiles. I don't understand how turns work but grahams turns don't end. #conofthenorth
I've played tyrants of the underdark. Figured out how to score points way way too late and got blown out. #conofthenorth

I forgot to take a picture before I left for work, but I have Excavation Earth sprawled out on my desk to refresh my memory of the rules against the solo opponent in preparation for hosting the game at #ConoftheNorth next week. I knew this game slaps, but I’d forgotten how hard.
