I saw this #cookbook at a friends house. I had to find a copy as I love these nostalgic recipes. The best part about this book from 1955 is that there are recipes that are exciting and inspiring that l will be cooking. #cookbooksky 🍽️🍜

Coconut cake was a hit––definitely recommend #Fat+Flour to #CookbookSky with two caveats––recipes lean toward sweet and you might have to add more liquid to the piecrust. Using cold butter, even for cake (!) is cool and (better yet), it works. The bundt cakes even start in a cold oven.
Blueberry-cranberry pie just out of the oven. Edge is uneven and crimps were not retained. Lattice is unevenly browned
