Before the heatwave:

🏗️ Reefs produced +4.25 kg CaCO₃ m⁻² yr⁻¹

After the heatwave:

🪨 Reefs shifted to −2.67 kg CaCO₃ m⁻² yr⁻¹

After coral mortality, many reefs shifted to net erosion.

In other words: reefs went from growing to eroding.
