THE MINDSET — “Lean angle is a choice.”
Lean angle is not accidental — it is initiated. Speed and turn radius define the required lean, but we choose when it happens through counter-steering. That input controls when the bike reaches the condition for the turn.

THE METHOD — “Steer out to fall in.”
Push the inside bar and the front wheel briefly steers away from the turn. This shifts the contact patch relative to the centre of mass, the bike rolls into lean, and the change of direction begins: push left → fall left → go left.

3. THE MISTAKE — “Tensing up rather than staying loose.”
One of the biggest barriers to effective steering is to stiffen up. Stiff arms either come from tension or from leaning on the bars. To solve the first slow down a little. And to solve both, work on posture.

2. THE MECHANISM — “Momentum + inward force = lean.”
Any two-wheeler leans to balance gravity with the inward force needed to cut the curve. Change speed or line and the matching lean angle changes too. Counter‑steering creates 'lean-on-demand' — push to fall, fall to turn.
