I’ll hook up the #CraftyMech TPG to verify monitor and then check voltage to see if the decoder board is getting 16V from the G07 PCB. I can almost taste the dragon meat!
Piped in the #CraftyMech test pattern generator to see how the donor monitor handles a clean signal. Meh. Could be cleaner. These vacuum tubes run so hot it’s insane. 1960s technology is indeed beautiful nevertheless.
Taking the existing cables and crimping new molex plugs so I can power up (from an isolation transformer) and plug into the #CraftyMech test pattern generator.
There’s a new episode of @RcadeRadio tonight with third time guest #CraftyMech! Also—

I set up my five cabaret arcade games as a backdrop to my podcast. Not bad! My “desk” was a Ms. Pac-Man cocktail with a #craftymech #bitkit installed. 😀
During a short break I got the Atari 720 monitor chassis plugged in only to find this. It eventually goes into shutdown after a few moments. Adjusting horizontal hold did very little. There’s def a vertical collapse line there. Will test with the #craftymech TPG after work. 🥰
Making a Nintendo adapter for my #CraftyMech test pattern generator since I stole the original one for another project. SL connectors, ya’ll!
Last night diagnosed the #MsPac cocktail PCB is messed up but I threw in a Pac Plus PCB I had on hand and was able to get the game to start and play. G07 monitor vertical jumps occasionally so cap kit! I’m gonna throw in a #CraftyMech BitKit FPGA board in her this weekend.
