The success of the Elizabeth line – 70% paid for by Londoners (30% TfL fares, 40% local businesses) – makes #Crossrail2 a no-brainer. Almost 35% of the network, over 800 stations, would have direct service to a station served by Crossrail 2.

But will @AngelaRayner keep her promise?

Why isn’t Northern Powerhouse Rail a higher priority than #Crossrail2? Oh, that’s right, it’s not in the south east so doesn’t matter. 🙄
