I finally drew Jayce Chinda as the Brendon Urie demon in Emperor's New Clothes, which I think either inspired Jayce's character and design greatly or is a mighty coincidence!
I did a normal one and a Dread one. :]

I did a Jayce pumpkin this last year!... but feel I didn't do that great with it. I wish I made the horns more visible, but I couldn't find my carving tools and it was extra hard to do overall and I didn't want to fully commit! 😩

Based on the old convo I had with @merrillhagan.bsky.social about how Jayce was originally meant to reveal having a guitar when he raises the island on the alchemist ship . Playing different chords would trigger different spells. I am forever devastated that we lost this.

Posting this the first time is when I named him Cyprus Polaris the first time. The merpeople are gonna be most of the help to figure out what's been going on with Daniel turning into an amphibeast. I have merforms for the others but haven't settled the designs fully yet...

Jayce Chinda, one of the characters from Daneil spellbound, in his demonic version, is dragged by iron chains on his wrists inside a magical prison that emanates a strong golden light. Jayce's eyes and part of his cheeks are illuminated by violet light (in the form of a kind of cracks) that reveals his corruption to dark magic. Jayce screams menacingly at someone we don't see, perhaps who is imprisoning him.
inspired by the series Daniel Spellbound, i made an I created a hypothetical scene where Jayce, one of the characters, is imprisoned in some sort of magical prison. [thanks againg @bonkalore.bsky.social for make me discover this series]

He doesn't realize Daniel is with Shak as he's busy just being relieved to see his sister again & then shifted back immediately in defense. Bad first impressions as he was covered in old blood and feral, but luckily, Daniel looks up to him as his tracker hero.

I have that Daniel starts turning into an amphibeast due to ancient bloodline magic that was triggered by helping Jayce try to open the coffer. Jayce didn't know THIS would happen but he knew something might. He didn't care then but does now and will help. #DanielSpellbound

So there's this part in the AU where Jayce gets stabbed & they have to go to a black market magic doctor in basically a sanitized basement.
He is on...SO many drugs rn lmao They're not dating at this point yet but are at least friends.
