In a dark space, the figure is subtly sinister, her clothing all earthen colors of green blue, brown & gray. The ancient throne she occupies is tarnished gold & browns. The air is thick with smoke & mists, finally beginning to clear as you’re compelled towards her. This woman, approximately 45 years of age is seated resolutely upon her throne, tensely staring at you. Her demeanor is unknown. There’s a shrill buzzing increasing in volume slightly as you creep toward her. You see a finger twitch. A few strands of hair seem to be animated. Her pupils? Weren’t they there before you took a few hesitant steps toward her? Your foot involuntarily shifts back a step & you hear a voice say “Stay.” In your mind. Her voice is in your mind. Her garments are living things? I'm staggering her ages between 18 to 58 years in 7 stages. Like Gwon Bach, Taliesin, then the Merlin plus four more emergences with name changes. She'll run the gamut of D&D Alignments. Almost. She never knew of Lawful Good, for it does not exist in her people. Likewise she will never know Lawful Neutral, in her case because it defies Logic. Without Logic, Life expires. My personal background is matte texture for film, commercial cartooning & storyboarding. This was before I decided to write some gothic allegorically leaning dark sci-fi. I mean why not? Allegory, parable, obfuscation all take second seat to lying in 2025. In our reality, Logic also predicts RFK will be writing poetry soon, most likely doggerel for tombstones.
