Yep it is pretty dark because it has been ever more brazen. I have no trust in any of it really.
Ironically, the #BBC series 1 of 3 #Empire by Mr #DavidOlusoga was a recent wide eyed eye opener on controlled narrative.
#Caste imposition & persistence absolutely depends upon it.
Bitter lesson.

Includes many stories, told very eloquently, that we should, and usually don’t, know about the British Empire.
A hard watch at times but essential viewing.

Queues for foodstuffs was very common - I well recall my mum saying queuing consumed huge parts of any day.

Essential immigrants brought prized professional skills necessary to UK recovery it's the story of the good ship #Windrush. Immigration brought far fewer than those departing.

3/4 #Empire with #DavidOlusoga is a hard lesson to thole. Helps explain why a #MuseumOfSlavery for #Glasgow is a challenge, a Scot owned #BunceIsland #SierraLeone the primary slave stockade & distribution point. This series would make a good foundation. The #MauMau story is really painful viewing.
2/4 #Empire with #DavidOlusoga should in my opinion; be compulsory curriculum viewing for teenagers everywhere. It is overwhelming at many points. Corrupting power, bland faceless instructions and well known lack of any accountability meant the most awful fates for people living on lands we coveted.
