Caspian’s is his bleeding heart. He wants to help everyone he can, & has almost shonen protagonist levels of “if we just work together we can save everyone!” hope. When that’s impossible & he *has* to make a choice, it’s debilitating & more people end up getting hurt.

Yseult cannot cope with her own mortality. Getting shipped off to the Wardens has vastly shortened her lifespan, & she’s doggedly refusing to acknowledge that fact. This leads to her acting out even more than before, & taking massive risks to prove that she’s doing just fine

Eden’s is definitely that she pushes people away/keeps them at a distance in order to avoid the pain of inevitably losing them, thanks to her clan being slaughtered, then being rejected by every other Dalish clan she went to for help, & finally the Crows brutal training.

Yseult and my LoF will probably make the choice quite easily based on the emotion of “fuck one of these options in particular lmao”. Caspian, meanwhile, will be so torn on that choice & agonize over not being able to do both, & will likely end up going based on panicked emotion. (2/2)

Depends on the Rook & how personal the stakes. Eden & Aurelia, being a Crow & SD respectively, will approach that Act 1 final choice very differently but for equal parts emotion + logic. Shay would let it all burn and so will choose based on logic & practicality. (1/2)

Caspian has… not a “pet” exactly but more of a companion/familiar. Richter is a white cat who actually helped the MW find Caspian in the Necropolis as a baby. No one knows if he’s a possessed undead cat, or a manifested spirit. But his RBF is legendary.

Eden’s parents were deeply loving and protective, since they’d tried for so long to have even one child. She loved them both deeply as well, & watching them die with her clan was obviously the most traumatizing thing she’s been through.

Eden had been starting to learn some basic combat and hunting skills as a child, but her clan was wiped out by Tevinter soldiers when she was 10. Eventually she found her way to Antiva City and joined the Crows, and the rest is history.
