A couple of showers and thunderstorms have developed along a boundary line along/just east of I-75.
Many will remain dry today, but any storm could produce downpours and lightning. No severe weather is expected.

I hate calling this weather “hot” because Dayton’s average high is 85° and today was just 88°.
That being said, it’ll still be very warm for the next several days with a slight chance of a pop-up shower each day. #daywx #daytonwx #ohwx @wdtn2.bsky.social
SATURDAY RISK FOR DAMAGING WINDS & FLOODING in the Miami Valley.
As of Friday morning, the Miami Valley has a SLIGHT RISK (level 2) of both severe weather and flash flooding.
Have a way to receive alerts! I’ll be monitoring all afternoon & evening on @wdtn2.bsky.social #ohwx #daywx #daytonwx
Severe threat has increased some for Saturday in the Miami Valley. Damaging winds would be the primary threat, in addition to flooding. #ohwx #daywx #daytonwx
We’ll be monitoring the risk of heavy rainfall that could potentially bring flash flooding to the Miami Valley this weekend.
Both Saturday and Sunday have a Slight Risk of Excessive Rainfall (flash flooding) Montgomery County and much of the region.

Lookout for the threat of heavy rain overnight, unsettled weather pattern that just doesn’t want to leave the Miami Valley. @wdtn2.bsky.social #ohwx #daywx #daytonwx
HEADS UP! The entire Miami Valley is under a Slight Risk (2/5) of severe weather. The main threat for any storm that develops will be damaging straight-line winds & heavy rainfall. Large hail and a brief spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out. #ohwx #daywx #daytonwx
We’ll have to keep an eye on Saturday, especially north of I-70, for the risk of strong storms. In addition, any storm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall.
And for when it won’t be raining… heat indices will be in the 90s to possibly low 100s. #ohwx #daywx #daytonwx @wdtn2.bsky.social
As expected, storms are beginning to fire up thanks to daytime heating & storm energy.
Storms may contain locally heavy rainfall and strong, potentially damaging, wind gusts.
