One common issue i noticed from chatting to other #RSEs: short-term contracts prevent success of software projects and good research (even though I'm more privileged with a longer contract).

Really enjoyed my first conference on research software #deRSE25 @kit.edu. Thanks for all the nice insights, talks and the good organization.

Just attended my first #deRSE conference - what an experience! Good software is the foundation of modern research and Open Science. The role of Research Software Engineers (RSEs) is more crucial than ever. So let’s support and strengthen this community!

Day 1 at #deRSE25 at @kit.edu started off with a great Contentathon for our #EVERSE Research Software Quality Kit. Would you like to know more about the #RSQKit or even contribute to it? Then make sure to check out the webpage: everse.software/RSQKit/
My talk, coming up in about 2 hours, is doi.org/10.5281/zeno... And I was disappointed that the badges are completely different this year, and have clips/pins, not lanyards. #deRSE25
I’m attending the German RSE conference #deRSE25 this week, where I’m giving a talk and co-presenting a poster. I also am getting to reuse my lanyard from last year’s event, which is rare for me to remember to do. And here are a few photos from yesterday, when I arrived.
If you’re at #deRSE25 at the @kit.edu don’t miss out on our #EVERSE workshop there: a dedicated contentathon on develeoping and integrating research software quality resources! Don’t miss out: events.hifis.net/event/1741/c...
🚀 Less than 1 week until #SEconf25 and #deRSE25!
🗓️ Don't miss Michael Felderer's joint keynote on 26.02.: "Innovating at the Intersection: #SoftwareEngineering for Science and Industry".
