OE "wulf" and Lat "lupus" are cognates one of the other. (So are "cent" of "100" fame and "hund" from "hundred.")

The Old English word "feortende" is the present participle of the verb "feortan." Nothing comes up when I try to look for the latin-derived "flatulent," so I am thinking of using feortende in the same way that I would use "flatulent." Yes no maybe so?
