A large vintage 1960s 70s one of a kind handmade enamel on steel modernist Capricornus Capricorn design artwork by Dekor Zagreb of the former Yugoslavia, now in Croatia. A striking mid century modernist artwork of the mythical creature Capricornus also known as Capricorn of the Zodiac, an astrological sign. Capricornus gets its name from a Greek myth that says the god Pan was transformed into a half-goat, half-fish when he dived into the Nile River to escape the giant Typhon. A striking modernist design in a vivid turquoise blue and black! Measures 9.25" diameter by 1" tall at the rim, and weighs about a little under a pound prior to packaging. Still retains the original Dekor Zagreb sticker at back as shown in the photos, as well as "Ručni Rad" (Handmade). Excellent vintage condition.
