🤣 I worked pre-poll but wanted to vote in a leisurely way
My closest booth had no queues but also no #DemocracySausages.
So I voted & wandered to the next nearest booth to sit and enjoy my sausage with a smile.

One photo of a volunteer at Wallsend Public School cooking sausages, & probably onions, as they were on offer, on a barbecue for anyone who wanted to support a fundraiser for the school.
We picked the right time to go to the nearest polling station to vote. No line, not even the small one that developed after we finished & bought our #DemocracySausages & something to drink. I considered a cake, but they were mostly sold out, which was well done for them.

Can confirm at a particular primary school, there are no #democracysausages on offer. A wasted opportunity to create goodwill between the school and community and provide much need additional funds for programs for students.

The upside of all the pre-poll voting was that I only had to wait a few minutes to vote but the downside was atmoshpere.
