In my densely populated residential area, this thoroughfare is quite convenient. I understand the safety implications of pedestrians around trucks, but think a better solution is to cordon off a small safe #pedestrian path, rather than prohibit access entirely. #DesireLine

Work as intended vs work as done.
A good example of why it's important to factor human behaviour into design. Also vertical bike racks are bullshit

Is this not effectively a #DesireLine, but for bike parking?

These wheel-twister double deck racks aren’t really that great for bikes, and are very awkward for shorter or less strong people to use. Is it basically people just showing they’ve had enough and just want to park bikes at floor level?
