An illustration of what people thought a dinosaur called a teratosaurus looked like in the early 1970's. It walks like a T-Rex. Its head, upper body, back, and tail look like a lizard. Its forelegs are tiny, befitting the body of a lizard, but its hind legs are much longer and mammalian, looking more like the hind legs of a wild cat than a reptile.
Teratosaurus This is how you say it. tare-at-oh-SAW-russ This dinosaur walked on its back legs. It had big claws, and sharp teeth. It ate meat. Its name is Teratosaurus.

It looks like an iguana was grafted onto the legs of someone's lion fursuit and awkwardly released into the wild. Unsettling, but I kind of love it.
