On the issue of #docklessbikes this is on the border of #Surrey where #Lime aren’t allowed but pple want/need them. Bikes seemingly abandoned on a deserted bit of road used by those who need to get to the station, and it’s the border where they stop. #LowerHamptonRd. @cyclinguk.bsky.social #cycling

A new term starts at UCL and with it the avalanche of dockless bikes, blocking pavements and crossings.

Why are we tolerating this unregulated free-for-all?

This image shows a paved riverside promenade on a sunny but windy day in London’s Canary Wharf, by the Thames river. Several dockless rental bikes—most of them turquoise or teal—are scattered and lying on their sides across the walkway, suggesting either recent strong winds or some form of disturbance. Only one upright bike remains, secured to the railing. In the background, riverboats are visible on the Thames, with high-rise residential buildings on the opposite bank and to the left, and historic warehouse-style apartments on the right. The sky is bright with some scattered clouds, and the overall scene suggests a typical day along a city riverside, momentarily disrupted by the fallen bicycles.

It’s hard work being a rental bike in London.
