So, they are a couple, She (the one with the blonde hair) is a priestess and a teacher, the blue stars are the symbol of what she teach: astrology; He (the other one with brown hair) is her student (obviously he is an adult, so is she). They falled in love and she teached him forbidden things and because of that, she is getting executed, that's why she is crying. But she seems happy because she doesn't regret what she did, she's happy of what she did with her lover. But, on the other side, he's been scarred for his sins and he's angry. angry because they are taking his lover away and he will get revenge. The hair than are "mixing" symbolaze that they will be together forever.
