My DOS jam game running on a 386sx/20, directly from the floppy. Now it feels *real*!

A screenshot of DosBox-X with motif decorations running an EGA game screen with the text "Get Ready!", a blue space scuba diver with a yellow phase realignment multitool, a series of boxes sparsely full of equipment, and "3 tries left"

a high resolution screenshot of the development desktop, displaying several menus and overlapping windows. the window on top is a syntax-highlighting editor displaying a portion of the game code. everything is using a custom color palette built around pinks and purples.
it looks really nice and feels pretty modern for something that I launched from the DOS command line.

a laptop screen displaying a map image tilted in perspective, similar to SNES mode 7 graphics. there are background images for heads up status displays located in the lower left and right corners of the screen.

#dosgamejam update!
Over the weekend I migrated from my 700MHz Pentium III ThinkPad to a 600MHz Cyrix III 86Box VM for stability and video reasons. I've got a 1600x1200 workspace now!
S3 Trio64 > ATI Mach32.
Last night I figured out how to display my HUD image, and also how to place objects on map!
