A homemade bound book. It has a blue fabric case, with the edges of the signatures visible at the bottom. Daniel Smith is written in white Posca marker on the cover.

The front cover of the book is open and the viewer can see the end paper that has a small blue and green floral pattern. There is a label at the top that says, Daniel Smith Colors. Opposite the cover, you can see the first swatching page, all different variations of yellow. There are printouts with information about the key for reading the specifics about each dot of color from the dot cards. The book contains 9 sheets of paper that has been folded in half, forming a signature. The spine has 3 holes punched top and bottom, so that thin elastic is threaded through the holes. Each signature is slipped through a single piece of elastic. That way the signatures can easily be removed and replaced.

This shows an interior view of the book. There are 16 different colors swatched in two rows of 8 swatches each... all in blues, and beginning to fade into greens. The book sits on a cluttered desk with a glue bottle, assorted brushes, scissors, a pencil and a couple of crumpled pieces of paper toweling that have been used for wiping brushes.
