now orchids and gladioli are great, amaryllids and irises certainly hit the spot, and proteas and kniphofias obviously have their place...

but the plants I most wanted to see in the #Drakensberg were the Pineapple Lilies, Eucomis spp

and they've certainly not disappointed

For me there is no better place for a #roadtrip than #kwazulunatal #southafrica The last stop last week was the unique Antbear Lodge Where from our 'cave' we looked across at White Mountain. Next week, the plan is to head north east... #drakensberg #mountains
