10 years have passed since the events of episode 52 Ascension part 2 in X-Men Evolution where the mutant Apocalypse was sent into a space-time rift according to Wolverine when he sabotaged the command post under one of the pyramids of Giza. Jean Grey has become an excellent geneticist respected by the international community as well as by the mutant and non-mutant community, she has been married to Scott Summers aka Cyclops for 4 years and they are very happy together.
