This is pre-revisionist Browder, before he was kicked out of the communist movement for profoundly selling out to U.S. class collaborationist ideas after World War Two. In 1933 Browder’s Marxist Leninist theory was sound and strong!

“The Meaning of Social-Fascsim: It’s Historical and Theoretical Background” by Earl Browder. A pamphlet written by the great American Marxist-Leninist author and member of the Communist Party of the USA in 1933, long before Browder became a revisionist and reactionary after WWII and began promoting class collaboration and that class struggle was a thing of the past in the USA. Adopting these ideas and positions got Browder kicked out of the CPUSA in 1946. This excellent pamphlet from 1933 however shows no such deviations and Browder does a great job describing the way social-democracy and the liberal progressive capitalists who promote it are critical parts of the manner by which fascism and fascists come to power.
Back in the 1930s during fascism 1.0 Marxist-Leninist theorists of #fascism like #EarlBrowder and #R.PalmeDutt used the phrase #social-fascism to describe the kind of divisive #capitalist #liberal-progressive that existed at the time. It’s a good term to bring back again. Browder’s pamphlet …
