The photo shows a doorway with a mural of the actor Christopher Walken overlaid with an image of bugs Bunny. A bright color dominates the mural. The mural is surrounded by an aging brick building with more graffiti around it. This mural can be found in the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina. I chose it as my monster selection for the day because the animal-human hybrid made me think of a Wererabbit and also of creepy humanoid rabbit references in films like Donnie Darko. The mask-like quality of the image makes you wonder which is the mask, the person or the rabbit? The contrast of the extreme Walken frown and the equally extreme Bugs Bunny smile adds to the striking creep factor of this image. I looked up the context of Bugs Bunny with Christopher Walken, and there is a connection. Walken has noted in interviews that he has played some of his roles as if he was Bugs Bunny, and that Bugs Bunny was his favorite actor. He's never revealed which roles but some might make educated guesses.
