My submission for #TidyTuesday this week was actually an interactive presentation via #Quarto.
The .qmd file, along with all the tables and scripts are now uploaded to my repo:

A graphic titled “Winter Labrador current inversions contrast with summer surface warming” presents findings from ocean temperature data (2018 - 2025). It includes two charts: a heatmap showing the average temperature difference between surface (2 m) and deeper (40 m) waters across months, where blue indicates warmer deeper water and red indicates cooler surface water; winter months (December - January) show the strongest inversions, while mid-year months trend warmer at the surface. The second chart is a line graph comparing temperature by depth for January and April, intersecting at 3.75 °C and 10 m, illustrating seasonal thermal inversion. Project and author details appear at the bottom.
This week's #TidyTuesday looks at ocean temperature readings off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Got to learn about the Labrador Current and that the ocean "breathes" 😮

They say value comes from "actionable insights" when visualizing the data, but prroviding additional context to explain your observations is still a good result if you're not an expert.

Getting some HTML and CSS practice wherever possible helps to deal with some presentation/composition package limitations.
Making a few more this week related to fees and insurance.

Introduced a second mutant selector dropdown for visual comparisons. Making that template a few weeks ago was the move. Time to put it all together in a project report.

Not another template, but my return to the #workinprogress X-Men Mutant Moneyball project from an old #TidyTuesday.
I used what I learned from making the radar chart template to apply here to make a mutant stats viewer driven by revenue/value.

Here's a sunburst chart template using #ECharts4r 's e_sunbust() function. Some extra tweaking in the tooltip using #JavaScript producest a compact and easy-to-follow presentation for a smooth and visually-interesting experience within #Quarto documents.

The radar/spider chart is the latest entry in the #ECharts4R #Quarto templates series. For more control/interactivity, I introduved a dropdown menu via #HTML and additional #JavaScript.

There's quite a variety of bullet charts out there, but it's not a function found in #ECharts4R. I created these two templates to demonstrate the different ways they can highlight performance.

Making candlestick charts was relatively straighforward. Got to borrow the chart linging method from my other template. The most challenging part was the tooltip because it was javascript-heavy. Great result though.

Adding more detail in calendar charts through #echarts4r took some mixing and matching using different examples on the #ECharts site. I like being able to see the day numbers and using the piecewise legend bin. The #quarto template is in my growing respository
