Here is a #cool #animal. This #whale #lice, Cyamus scammoni, a crustacean of family Cyamidae, is an #ectoparasite of #graywhales, but primarily eats algae or shedding skin from the whale's body. This is a male, which can be up to 27 mm long. The rotini-shaped structures are #gills for respiration.
