Prof. Jason Fischer at #ECVP2025!
It was an inspiring opportunity to connect with fellow researchers, exchange ideas, and explore the latest developments in visual perception. 🧠👀

While summer isn’t over yet, I’d like to thank #ECVP for an amazing week of talks, knowledge, science, songs, parties, discussions, and more.
It was a wonderful mix of science and friendship. Thank you all! #ecvp2025
PS: I’m (not) seriously considering opening a glitter booth next year ✨
#ECVP2025 I liked Waqar Khan's poster presentation the most. A big round of applause to each and every one behind this great work.
Goodbye #ECVP2025, thank you for the science, conversations, fun, and a bit of craziness. I am back home, somewhat worse for wear. See you later! #ECVP @ecvp.bsky.social
The past week at #ECVP2025 in Mainz was fantastic! So much interesting research and great people✨ Thank you all and safe travel back home!
I really liked @dididu.bsky.social’s booth at #ECVP2025 Illusion Night. Tried Celebrity EYE-Q, what a brilliant and fun way to showcase holistic face processing!
Yesterday we had a great last day of #ECVP2025! We finished with interesting talks and poster sessions. A big thank you to everyone for attending. We had an amazing time ✨
Thank you @ecvp.bsky.social for an amazing #ECVP2025 and great to hear and see the latest developments in #vision science. Also, brilliant that so many people from #NVSN attended the event. Now it is dinner in Copenhagen airport before the last leg to Aalborg.

As #ECVP2025 wraps up, I’m delighted that #ECVP2028 in Paris was accepted at the Business Meeting! ECVP will meet again before but the Parisian organizing committee is already planning an unforgettable 50th anniversary!
Really happy that PhD candidate Malin Styrnal in our lab won both the Best Student Poster Award *and* the Poster of the Day Award at #ECVP2025 for her presentation "The similarity of similarity tasks: Comparing eight different measures of similarity"! (unfortunately no photo with her!)
Go Malin! 🥳
What an incredible conference! #ECVP2025 was jam packed with amazing research and fun events.
Now that it is over, I hope everyone gets some well-deserved rest!
I realised I've funded my #ECVP2025 travel entirely with money earned from reviewing grants. Do I get to say it was a grant-funded trip?
That's a wrap on ECVP in Mainz - massive thank you to the organisers and helpers who put on such a great conference. Looking forward to Bournemouth!

Thank you all for the great feedback and insightful questions on my poster "Exploring Action-Specific Effects: A Representational Momentum Study of the ‘Pong Effect’" at #ECVP2025. It was a wonderful conference and I am already looking forward to the next one!
If you were as unfortunate as me, and missed King Kabir (@arora-borealis.bsky.social)'s talk at #ECVP2025 on the differences (in early visual processing) between internal and external attentional selection... no worries, you can find the paper here: share.google/TDIZCDK9puB6...
Very happy to see this preprint out! The amazing @danwang7.bsky.social was on fire sharing this work at #ECVP2025, gathering loads of attention, and here you can find the whole thing!
Using RIFT we reveal how the competition between top-down goals and bottom-up saliency unfolds within visual cortex.
#ECVP2025 Last night we had an amazing time with great food and music at Conference Dinner! Luckily the weather held up so we could enjoy the atmosphere outside and inside
#ECVP2025 Round 3 of Talks and Poster Sessions! And to finish the day we had a great time at the Rank Prize Lecture by William Warren ✨
Start your day with a good science discussion about #MultistablePerception #neuroscience:

So happy to be part of the “plus” crowd at the IVL+ dinner @icevislab.bsky.social at #ECVP2025 - now it is time to get ready for an early session on colour perception tomorrow morning
Tomorrow (Thurs) at 9am in HS19, Marina Pace will present a series of studies that she ran with Tessa Bury, to test whether observers perceive *implied motion* in accessibility icons.

Having a blast with my game Celebrity EYE-Q at #ECVP2025 Illusion & Demo Night! Thanks to everyone who played! 👀
Follow on IG @celebeyeq for more info on the inspiration and the effect!
#ECVP2025 In addition to yesterday's Illusion Night we would like to mention the contribution of @elinevg.bsky.social and @lisa-kossmann.bsky.social about Open-Source Toolboxes for aesthetics and perception.
Really enjoyed my poster session at ECVP this morning. Action shot of me presenting my work on how motion and sound effect object category learning and categorisation in children compared to adults #ECVP2025
Up next in Eye tracking 3, Veera Ruuskanen will show how pupil size is associated with performance in visual, but not auditory, tasks. This suggests that links between pupil size and behavior are (at least sometimes) mediated by optical effects, rather than arousal, as often assumed! 👁️ #ecvp2025
