#EdClark was a #photographer who worked primarily for #LIFE magazine. His best remembered photo captured an accordionist weeping as the body of #FDR passed by. In 1945 he was assigned to #Paris where he took a series of #photos, including this: Painting Sacre-Coeur from the Rue Norvins in Montmartre
April 1945: Navy Chief Petty Officer Graham Jackson was to play for a bbq that would be attended by #FranklinDelanoRoosevelt, but Roosevelt died.
#EdClark caught Jackson playing #GoingHome as the body passed. "I heard the accordion start to play behind me," and I thought, "My God, what a picture."
