The #DeepSeek innovations are cool wrt #EfficientComputing in #AI. But silly to think compute matters way less long term. This lets us do more for a bit, but we'll still be compute bound. Trickier for an Nvidia if the type of compute significantly changed (e.g. tensors to ?). Not much sign of that.

Got a 16" M4 Max MacBook Pro. Haven't rigorously tested battery on my main work (3D, AI). But LA fire evac gave me reason to test entertainment: Watched 2 2hr movies over 2 nights. 1st used 2%, 2nd used 1%.
