Place of Arrest: Tabriz, Iran Ehsan Faridi is a student of Manufacturing Engineering at Tabriz Technical University.
He was rearrested in June 2024 and has been sentenced to death on the charge of "corruption on earth."
Alireza Faridi, father of Ehsan Faridi, said:
"My son was first arrested in March 2024 and later released on bail.
Three months later, the investigating judge suddenly came up with new accusations and told Ehsan to confess to them.
Ehsan refused to confess. That's how the charge of 'corruption on earth', which led to his death sentence, was added to the case.
The indictment against Ehsan was issued at least five months after his initial arrest by the investigating judge, Ali Mousavi Aghdam.
How can a court issue a death sentence based on an indictment prepared by a man who was later dismissed for corruption?"
