The incorrect report, that the man who fainted was a Novo Nordisk executive named Gordon Findlay, spread like wildfire on Thursday, repeated across social media and by news outlets. But Gordon Findlay was not in the Oval Office at all, Novo Nordisk confirms. The White House has not yet identified the man, but a spokesperson for another drug-maker involved in the event, Eli Lilly, told CBS News that the ‘man was one of their guests who “became overwhelmed by the events of the day”.
