Life lessons my study and experience within social work has taught me. Empathy as the foundation of truly helping others. Not using quick judgements to assess clients as peoples lives are complex and haste rarely reveals the full picture. Incorporating self-care into your life and not pouring from an empty cup. The importance of collaboration in ALL and especially challenging case - it is life saving! The power of advocacy - speaking up can change someone’s whole world, hopefully for the better!
