Ask your friends, family, co-workers if they know anyone famous in their circle, who might like to endorse and up-and-coming new author. Be ready with a super clean copy of your manuscript if your novel is still in publishing. ARC readers sometimes expect paper.

It is highly likely that at least a few known authors live near you. If you attend local events you may meet them. Do they belong to a state writers group near you? Do they like your genre. Can you introduce yourself in a non-creepy way? Will they help you out?
