It was a pleasure to debut at #EPSA2025 chairing, discussing, and presenting my paper "Capital cities in the eye of the storm: Unpacking rural-urban, centre-periphery, and economic divides". All of this, in company of great friends and colleagues and in the wonderful city of Madrid!

One thing I noticed: many discussants talked too long.

Keep it short (2–3 key points), send the rest to the authors. Remember to leave time for author replies and audience questions. It’s not about you!

Heading home from #EPSA2025 I really enjoyed seeing so much dedication and passion to produce good science. A pure joy to be part of the community. Meetings like this are crucial for giving me sense and purpose during those endless hours in front of the computer. #sciencerocks

Returning from another great #epsa2025, I’ve been thinking about something that happened several times. In group settings, I either misnamed or misrecognized folks who I already knew. Socially awkward for sure!
