FDA confirms contamination of children's applesauce; theorizes it was intentional The FDA has confirmed that lead chromate is the source of lead and chromium in cinnamon applesauce marketed for children and imported from Ecuador.

The lead in the applesauce poisonings was likely added to increase weight and thus profits.

This is what I've been saying about chocolate. These coco producers are ok with child slave labor, but they wouldn't go as far as adding lead to make more money?
