Vintage book excerpt featuring a poetic recipe titled “How to Become Good Looking” by Mrs. J. G. Lee, printed on aged, yellowed paper. The text lists whimsical ingredients such as “2 oz. of patience,” “a cupful of kindness,” “4 oz. of goodwill,” “a pinch of hope,” “a bunch of faith,” “industry,” “prudence,” “sympathy,” “humility,” and “good humour,” combining them into a metaphorical mixture seasoned with “common sense” and “daily content.”
