Mistigram: A colourful #ANSIart logo celebrating Foenix's #F256K hobbyist computer, running on the Western Design Center 65C02 microprocessor, was drawn by @ZeusII for the retrocomputing-themed Jolly Roger BBS. This piece was included in the recent MIST-30 artpack celebration.
Cool port of #Ultima III nearing 100% for the #Foenix series (F256K, etc) made by Minstrel Dragon that showcases SID music and uses tilesets from Ultima V because it looks better

oops, this is the real link I meant to share last night
MIDI has been on my mind since at least May of 2024. Here's a recap of the timeline of things I've accomplished:

#midi #vintageapple #macintosh #macplus #foenix #f256k #f256k2
#F256K #F256K2 #Foenix I added SID and PSG control to my #MIDI controlled C jam session program

My Game Jam entry is done, programmed in C, meant for #F256K, K2, Jr. or Jr.2 from #Foenix Retro Systems. Supports simple PSG sound for the older machines, but MIDI for the newer as well.
I will port this to 68k macs in time!
Gonna keep posting some #F256K content because cool things like these keep coming up
Weekend game Jam right before Halloween
Finally had time to play a game of Star Trek on the #F256K by the industrious Ernesto, who's a maestro at making fully completed superbasic programs. He even put out a manual for it!
F256K = modern homebrew 6502/65816/6809 wedge computer
Making good progress in C programming for the #F256K from Foenix Retro Systems. Mastering kernel based timers is key to game programming and animation. (it's ok to watch just a few seconds of this)

Just got these banana-to-dupont cables. I'm too invested in Dupont connectivity to go somewhere else for all my small electronics power needs!
I have Dupont-to-:
-barrel jack
-micro-USB
-??? (future needs I'm sure!)

#F256K #Foenix you know what's cooler than a modern made amazing 6502 based machine with opl/sid/psg and up to 10 game controller support at once? A freaking 48h Game Jam with a handful committed wonderful people who will be at it this upcoming weekend! I'll keep you updated with the results!
#F256K #8bit #6502 development is going along nicely in that community. new firmware (ie software loaded up in reserve in flash) now includes an awesome file/mem mgr with options, deals with storage, RAM and Flash, can be used as launcher. HUGE Norton Commander vibes but BETTER
#F256K "Take on PSG" tracker music that I punched in my F256K. pulse sound. 3 channels, 8-bit. Check it out. This is the lowest bar since this computer could do dual SID and OPL. All at once. youtu.be/MTJ1z510n3k
#f256k #msdos #c64 #retro In case you didn't know, I also have a non-Mac channel at AnyBit Fever Dreams which passed the humble, symbolic milestone of 100 sub! youtube.com/@anybitfever...
#F256K Find out what kind of upgrades you can do when you get this computer's case opened

#F256K It's the FUTURE NOW. awesome 8-bit based F256K. Gets programs and .MODs from the internet wirelessly. Plays them in a crude PSG mod player.

#F256K just got not 1, not 2 but 3 related xmas demo-things in the last few days, highlighting some of its retro computer capabilities (SID music, PSG music, 60 fps animation, shoutouts to the "sceners" (lol)). I roped all 3 in a video here youtu.be/bIHiuJkVEso

I made a new video detailing why and how to install wifi to a F256K, from config to soldering. There are online multiplayer projects in the works. Appreciate a reshare to spread awareness of it!
