A four-ship of Swiss F-5E/F Tiger IIs over eastern Switzerland back in 2003, shot from the backseat of an F-5F. All aircraft were piloted by crew of Ausbildungs- und Dienststaffel 16, flying out of Dübendorf near Zurich.

Since we're having some snow here in the Netherlands, I was browsing through some wintery images. Here's a 4-ship of Swiss Tiger IIs over the Alps in 2003. Only a handful of grey ones are currently still in service.

Swiss Air Force F-5E J-3057 crosses the busy Kantonsstrasse at Turtmann, after returning from a mission. The road separated the runway from the caverns, the mountain hangars that could house some two dozen F-5Es. The picture was taken during the annual so-called Wiederholungskurs exercise in 2003. For these exercises, both Fliegerstaffel 1 and 6. Escadrille d'Aviation (No. 1 & 6 Squadrons) would relocate to Turtmann for three weeks; outside the WK periods, the base was inactive. WK 2003 would be the last such exercise, as Turtmann was permanently closed after this exercise.
